Global Community & Chapters

Effective Altruism (EA) has a global community of people who care about making "doing good" a part of our lives. On top of that, we want to be as effective as we possibly can.

EA Singapore is one of 300+ chapters around the world, in different cities, countries and/or academic institutions. As a "chapter", we can be understood of as a "local branch" of EA.

EA organisations are characteristic in using evidence and reason in order to find the best ways to improve the world. They are part of the Effective Altruism (EA) movement.

Most of these organisations are based in Oxford, UK and San Francisco bay area, USA - two places that are considered as the hubs of EA.
