Purpose:

Living Goods empowers people in need to improve their health and wealth by sustainably expanding access to life-changing products and services.

Extract:

Living Goods runs a network of Community Health Promoters (CHPs) who sell health and household goods door-to-door in their communities in Uganda and Kenya and provide basic health counseling. Living Goods also provides consulting and funding to BRAC to run a similar network in Uganda and to other organizations to run similar networks in other locations. Their randomized-controlled trial (RCT) shows that Living Goods' program reduced child mortality by a very large amount.

What do they do?

In many places uncoordinated actors build separate systems, duplicating effort and investment, to provide for family planning, childhood diseases, nutrition, clean water, etc.

Living Goods leverage one integrated platform to address all the high-impact health needs at the community level. This saves money and provides better services to families in need. Living Goods can easily and inexpensively test and add new services to this platform as needs and opportunities arise.
